Frank Kvitta, chief of the Bullshit family and Mario Ranieri, head honcho of Schubfaktor teamed up for an ambitious project called Tourette 2008. We can safely say this project is something you are not used from the guys! This great and out of the box production features elements of Electro, Breakbeat and Rap! Mario and Frank produced a hilarious video to boost their track into the worldwide charts and trust me, they did a great job (check the video below)! Now, I can imagine that you are curious about how t  Read more...

In the fall of 2001 Gerhard Behles and Robert Henke released their revoltionary application Ableton live. Originally developed for traditional studio-based production many artists around the world embraced Ableton with both arms. For DJs, it revolutionized the idea of what could be done on a laptop, blurring the line between live PA and spinning tracks. For producers, it reinvented the process of recording audio and MIDI, processing sounds and mixing down a composition. It’s hard to believe, but Live 7 is already there. The miracle software from Berlin-based Company Ableton, both a tracker and a sequencer at the same time, is constantly evolving: we were  Read more...
Most of you probably already heard about the sudden death of Ron Murphy on January 12th. I would like to pay my respect to the man who gave birth to the influencing Detroit Techno sound. Ron Murphy was probably one of the most skillful and respected cutting and mastering engineers in the history of electronic music. His skills go back to his childhood, as a youngster he studied manufacturers, labels and especially the sound and grooves of the vinyl. With his knowledge of and love for vinyl he decided to open a recordstore with his friend Steve Martel in Detroit. In a room back in the store they installed a cutting machine to cut dubs and records for costumer's jukeboxes. They named the store ‘National Sound Corporation’ (later to become ‘Sound Enterprises’).
